Stock Number: 3408Collection of four early 18th Century handblown, clear glass diminutive wine tester bottles, used for retrieving samples from the barrel during the production process. wonderfully sculptural objects, all with good pontils, the tallest has been ground at a later date presumably to ensure it stands. Similar examples and be found in the Pomier-Layrargues Collection as well as the Hospice de Beaune. Burgundy, France Circa 1740.
