Stock Number: 4706Utterly Mad Copper and Brass Birdscarer. Designed to be place hung in trees or fruit bushes to try and scare the birds away from the crop. This example is utterly bizarre, handmade, anatomically inaccurate but thoroughly charming. It appears to be made from earlier elements of brass and copper. The front of the face highly polished - the reflective surface to deter cats, the reverse shows heavily weathered surface. France, Circa 1950.
