Early 20th Century Full Bodied Copper Cockerel Weathervane
Stock Number: 4718A striking antique copper weathervane in the form of a full boldied modelled cockerel, with an impressive fan-shaped tail and finely cut sunburst crest. Constructed in copper, the surface has developed a rich, naturally weathered and oxidised patination of warm reddish-brown tones with the faintest areas of verdigris appearing. The crisp silhouette and appearance of being in full cry make this a particularly interesting example, equally suited to architectural display or as an interior feature. Wall mounted on a bespoke iron bracket, the weathervane retains its original charm and presence. Measurement for Cockerel not inc wall mount. Copper France, Circa 1920.
